Pakistan Hockey Federation prepares action plan for players' central contracts

Chairman PHF Selection Committee Olympian Manzoor Jr. and Head Coach National Hockey Team Olympian Khawaja Junaid will monitor the performances of the players.

National Hockey Selection Committee Chairman Legend Olympian Manzoor Jr. along with Head Coach National Hockey Team Olympian Khawaja Junaid held a press conference at Pakistan Hockey Federation Headquarters National Hockey Stadium, Lahore.

Olympian Manzoor Jr. said that President PHF Brigadier R khalid Sajjad Khokhar and Secretary General PHF Asif Bajwa have instructed to start the process of central contract for the welfare of national players.

Chairman PHF Selection Committee Olympian Manzoor Jr. and Head Coach National Hockey Team Olympian Khawaja Junaid will monitor the performances of the players.

Players performance will be tested on a monthly basis. Central contracts will be offered to the top 20 players.

Central contract players will be placed in A, B and C categories in terms of performance. A category player will get Rs 50,000, B category player will get Rs 40,000 and C category player will get Rs 30,000.

Player’s monthly physical fitness and skills levels will be monitored.

Chairman Selection Committee Olympian Manzoor Jr. and Head Coach Khawaja Junaid will send recommendations to PHF within 3 days.

Final approval of Central Contact will be given by President PHF Brigadier(r) Khalid Sajjad Khokhar.

Top 30 senior and junior players of PHF Players Pool to be called for PHF Central Contract. Initially, 20 players will be offered PHF Central contracts.

Future training programs will be issued to the players including video sessions of the players every month. Chairman PHF selection committee Manzoor Jr. & Head Coach Olympian Kh. Junaid held the press conference.
