Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) secretary Asif Bajwa and schools association president Shabbir Ahmad signed the agreement to promote the national game at the private schools level.

Years of negligence cannot be fixed without years of steady improvement in each and every aspect of the system.

Beleive it or not but Pakistan has probably the weakest school sports’ structure in the world.

For this, Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) secretary Asif Bajwa and the schools association president Shabbir Ahmad signed the agreement.

The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) and the All-Pakistan Private School Association has signed an agreement to promote the national game at the private schools level.

According to the agreement, the PHF will provide coaches to schools on their demand to train their players.

Surprisingly, only a few private schools hold proper field for any hockey activity while an overwhelming majority of schools have no such facility.

Currently, the  Pakistan team is ranked among the lowest in the world at 17th.
