Endowed pair of Aqeel & Shehzad edged out Abid & Waqas to win men’s doubles title of 5th Hassan Tariq Rahim Open Tennis Tournament at Gymkhana tennis courts, Lahore.
The 5th Hassan Tariq Rahim Open Tennis Tournament moved into the final stage as men’s and women’s finals will be played today (Friday) at the Gymkhana tennis courts, Lahore.
Endowed pair of Aqeel & Shehzad edged out Abid & Waqas with the final score line of 4-6, 6-3, 10-8 to win men’s doubles title.
The boys U-18 title went to Muhmmad Shoaib who recently won ITF J5 2020 titles. Shoaib crushed Aqib with the final score line of 6-1, 7-5.
Aqeel Khan and Muzammil Murtaza won their respective semifinals. Aqeel pulverized over Yusuf Khan with the final score line of 6-2, 6-2 while Muzammil Murtaza brushed aside Mudassar Murtaza 6-2, 6-3.
Ushna Suhail and Sarah Mehboob emerged as winners in the women’s singles as Ushna outsmarted Esha Jawad with the final score line of 6-0, 6-1 while Sarah walloped Noor Malik (ZTBL) 6-1, 6-2.
