Top seed Aqeel Khan & Shahzad Khan coasted their ways into the semifinals of fifth edition of Hassan Tariq Rahim Open Tennis Championship 2020 at Lahore Gymkhana, Lahore.
On the fourth day of fifth edition of Hassan Tariq Rahim Open Tennis Championship 2020, a total of six matches were played at Lahore Gymkhana, Lahore.
Top seed Aqeel Khan & Shahzad Khan coasted their ways into the semifinals of the Men’s doubles after easily winning the quarterfinal with the final score line of 6-3, 6-1 against the pair of Imran Bhatti and Tariq Sadiq.
Muhammad Abid pairing with Muhammad Waqas also made the last four grades when they chalked up straight setters victory against Ahmed Babar and Muhammad Shoaib 6-4, 6-3. Heera Ashiq and Yousuf Khalil ousted Ahmed Chaudhry and Abdaal Haider after a tough fight winning the three setters with the score being 3-6, 6-4, 10-4.
The pair of brothers Muzammil Murtaza and Mudassar fired Saqib Hayat-Nauman Aftab 6-2, 6-2 to reserve the place in the semi-finals.
In Boys U-18 category two more matches were decided where Mohammad Shoaib defeated Mahatir Mohammad 6-0, 6-1, while Aqib Hayat defeated spirited Hasheesh Kumar in a thriller 6-4, 0-6, 6-4.
