5 member Pakistani golf squad to feature in Nick Faldo Series Asia Grand Final 2021

Pakistan Golf Federation (PGF) has conducted three-day trials for the selection of team for representing Pakistan in the Nick Faldo Series Grand Final to be played in Hanoi, Vietnam in March 2021.

The Faldo Series aims to create access to the sport for a younger audience through grass-roots initiatives at its tournaments. A successful not-for-profit organization that is raising the profile of golf around the world. For Sir Nick’s contributions and service to golf, Nick Faldo received a knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II in November 2009. Sir Nick is the only living British golfer to receive such an honor and with 6 Major championships, more than 40 tournament victories and a total of 98 weeks as the world’s number 1 golfer, he is broadly regarded as the most successful golfer that Britain has ever produced.

Pakistan Golf Federation (PGF) has conducted three-day trials for the selection of three-member boys team and two-member girls team for representing Pakistan in the Nick Faldo Series Grand Final to be played in Hanoi, Vietnam in March 2021.

came to an inspiring end on Sunday here at wonderful PAF Skyview Golf Course under the supervision of Pakistan Golf Federation (PGF) team comprising Air Commodore Tariq Usman and Zahid Iqbal.

The five member Pakistan's Junior Golf Team comprising S Yashal Shah of Karachi Golf Club in under-16 age group. High flier in age batch under-18 was Mekayl Majid of Defence Raya while the whiz kid in age bracket under-21 was Nouman Ilyas of Lahore Garrison. As for the girls, the illustrious ones were Hamna Amjad of AGC (under-16) and Parkha Ijaz of Defence Raya (under-21).
