National U-16 Hockey Championship 2020 from 28 November

The Boys’ Under-16 National Hockey Championship2020 is scheduled to be played from November 28 to December 10 at the Ayub Hockey Stadium, Peshawar.

A two-member age scrutiny committee comprising chief selector Olympian Manzoor Junior and Mohamamd Zahir Shah has been formed.

Zahir Shah is also appointed as Tournament Director. Zahir will chair a meeting of the umpires, assistant umpires, managers and assistant managers on Nov 27.

Thirteen teams, will display their talent and technique in this event which aims at identifying fresh blood for the revival of the National sport.

The participating teams are namely stated below:

• Punjab (Four teams)
• Sindh (Two)
• Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (Two)
• Baluchistan (Two)
• Islamabad (One)
• Gilgit-Baltistan (One)
• AJK (One)
