PAF, Punjab and MPCL snatch semifinal spots of 5th National Tray Hockey C’ships

Pakistan Air Force, Higher Education Commission, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab reached the National Tray Hockey Championship semi-finals at the National Hockey Stadium, Lahore.

On the sixth day of the 5th National Tray Hockey Championships, three matches were played at the National Hockey Stadium, Lahore Pitch no. II.

In the first contest of the day, Islamabad defeated Azad Jammu and Kashmir by 4-0. Usman Ramzan netted two goals, Azhar Ullah and Adeel Ahmad scored one goal for the winning side.

The second match was played between MPCL and PUNJAB. MPCL won by 2-1. Arshad Liaquat and Muhammad Imran scored one goal each for MPLC while Hanan Shahid netted the only goal for Punjab

In the last match of the day, PAF beats KPK 3-2. For the winning side Rizwan Ali, M Bilal, and N Imran scored one goal each, while Usman Khan and Roman Taimoor netted one goal each.

Former Olympian Danish Kaleem was the chief guest on this occasion.

Two semi-finals will be played today on Thursday, October 29.

The first match will be played at 12:30 pm. PAF vs. PUNJAB, the second match will be played at 2:30 p.m. MPCL has already qualified for the semi-final and the opponent will be decided tomorrow at 9:00 AM after the result of a shootout between KPK and HEC.

All these matches will be played on National Hockey Stadium Patch No. 2 and matches are being broadcasted live on the official YouTube channel of the Pakistan Hockey Federation.
