CNS Amateur Golf tees off today

The fifth edition of the Chief of Naval Staff Amateur Golf Cup will tee off here at the Margalla Greens Golf Club on Friday.

Patron of the Pakistan Navy Golf for the North Region Commodore Naseer Ahmad told reporters that greater participation from across the country is expected this time as compared to the last year’s event.

It has now been decided to invite all those golfers playing in the main event and having handicap of up to 12 strokes, maintained the patron while stating that they are all for promoting a healthy competition.

The main event will be played amongst amateurs over 54-hole during the three-day event with 18-hole to be played each day. Amateurs with handicap 12 and below will participate.

While the two-day seniors’ event starting on Friday will be played over 36-hole while seniors over 55 years and with handicap 18 and below are eligible to take part.

Juniors and ladies’ events would be played over 18-hole. Lady golfers with handicap 30 and below are eligible to participate in the match.
