Aisam & Aqeel grab double's title of 5th Shaheed Benazir Bhutto National Ranking Tennis C'ship
Aisam-ul-Haq and Aqeel Khan earned the men’s doubles title of the 5th Shaheed Benazir Bhutto National Ranking Tennis Championship 2019 at Islamabad Tennis Complex.
The 5th edition of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto National Ranking Tennis Championship 2019 continued in full swing at Islamabad Tennis Complex.
Brilliant Aisam-ul-Haq and Aqeel Khan attained the men’s doubles title after thrashing the junior pair of Huzifa Abdul Rehman and Muhammad Shoaib by 2-0. The two juniors recently represented Pakistan in the Davis Cup against India.
In the first set, Aisam & Aqeel managed to break the very first serve of Huzaifa/Shoaib and then raced to a 2-0 lead. They maintained their dominance till the end and broke the ninth serve of the youngsters to take the first set 6-3 in 25 minutes.
In the second set, Aisam/Aqeel continued to play better tennis and kept their opponents under pressure and won the second set easily by 6-2 in 35 minutes to clinch the title.
Deputy Chairman Senate Saleem Mandviwalla graced the occasion as chief guest while Senator Taj Haider, Fazle Subhan, PTF President Salim Saifullah Khan and PTF management were also present there.
