Mian Rashid Rasheed dominates first day of 8th Quaid-e-Azam Amateur Golf Championship

Mian Rashid Rasheed from Lahore Garrison Golf Club took the lead with first round of net 67 in the first day of Quaid-e-Azam Amateur Golf Championship 2019 at Lahore Gymkhana golf course.

Mian Rashid Rasheed of Lahore Garrison Golf Club with first round of net 67 emerged as the leader on the first day of Quaid-e-Azam Amateur Golf Championship at the lush green golf course of Lahore Gymkhana.

Mian Rashid, a ten handicapper, showed good command over his shot making, playing on all par fours and par fives with controlled power and backed up the tee shots with approach shots from the fairways.

His nearest challengers were Col. Rustam Ali Chatta (Garrison) and Ahmed Fareed (MGC), both bracketed at 70 net. 

A few more hopefuls were Ayaz Saleem (Garrison) and Murad A.Khan (Defence Raya) and seven contenders are from Gymkhana namely Mustafa Tiwana, Muhammed Arsalan, Ammad Nadeem, Hamza Asif, Faisal Mahmood, Mohammed Omar Farooq and Saadullah Chaudhry.

After the first day of competition Hussain Hamid, Ahmed Zafar Hayat, Ali Nadim, Hussain Atta and Murshad Khan lie with the net score of 73.

In the gross section Rustam Ali Chatta is on top with a score of 73, followed by the trio of Ahmed Zafar Hayat, Hussain Hamid and Murad A.Khan who were contesting with an identical card of 77.
