Ushna Sohail, Aqeel Khan & Aisam Ul Haq become champions of Nayza All-Pakistan Open Tennis Championship 2019

Lahore's tennis star Ushna Sohail laid claim to the women’s singles title by thrashing Sarah Mehboob in an action-packed match.

Top seeds Aisam-ul-Haq and Aqeel Khan earned the doubles title after defeating emerging pair of Mohammad Abid and Muzamil Murtaza 6-2, 6-2 in the final.

Aqeel, alongside Talha Waheed, also won the 35 plus men’s doubles title, defeating Sherhyar Salamat and Ali Asad 6-2, 6-3.

In the Under-18 semi-final Ashish Kumar beat Usama Mehmood Khan 6-3, 6-2 to set the date in the final against Nalian Abbas, who carved out a 6-4, 6-4 victory against Aqib Umer.

In the boys under-14 semis, Hamid Israr trounced Mohatir Mohammad 6-1, 6-1 while Bilal Asim routed Uzair Khan 6-1, 6-1.

In the boys under-14 doubles semi-finals, Hauzamia Abdul Rehman and Mohatir Mohammad beat Ehtasham Humayoun and Kamran Khan 4-1, 4-1, while Uzair Khan and Kashan Umar beat Bilal Asim and Hamaza Jawad 4-2, 4-2.
