Shabbir annexes 2nd RMI National Open Golf title

International golfer Shabbir Iqbal annexed the 2nd RMI National Open Ranking Golf Championship title here at PAF golf course on Sunday. 
Shabbir maintained his superiority against fellow golfers despite the pin placing was so hard on the last day with top flight playing side by side. Having strong nerve, Shabbir has fully intact his class by giving a stunning response to his fellow golfers like international M Munir, Hamza Amin and member of the Pakistan team M Naeem in a flight. 
Shabbir carded six birdies at hole number 2, 7, 8, 12, 13 and 17 besides missing a stroke at 1, and 5. “I started the round not in appropriate way, missing a stroke and made a bogy on the very first hole, but later on played a calculated game. “Certainly winning prestigious event in the presence of top golfers is an honor for me,” said Shabbir.
Munir carded 34, two under at front nine with all three birdies at hole no. 1, 6 and 8 and 37, one over par, with two bogy at 3 and 13. “I tried hard to come in the top 3. The course was excellent prepared gave a tough challenge to the golfers,” Munir said. 
Hamza Amin after remaining first and second, slipped to third as he carded six under 210 over 54 holes by adding 73, one over par, to his overnight 68 and 69. He made four birdies and five bogies. 
In the amateur 10 and below, member Pakistan team Taimur Khan got first position with his gross four under 212, followed by Khalid Mehmood and Inyat Ullah while in the Net Malik Pervez got first, followed by Zubair and Ishfaq. 
In senior amateur, Mehmood Aziz won the trophy, followed by Dr. Arshad Javed and Col. Saud Khan while in the Net Col. Syed Shahabad Hussain, Col. Waqar and Sqn Ldr Idrees Khalid.
In the subsidiary matches 11-18 HCP gross Rehmat Ullah got first, followed by Brig Shahid saeed, Nasir Uddin got position while in the Net Moazam Khan, Shahid Farooq and Dr. Amin Ullah. 
In the Boys U-13 Abdullah Sultan won, followed by Arsalan and Zoyam in gross while in Net Sharik, Adnan Bukhari and Danyal got position while in the U-17, Najaf Ali won the trophy in gross, followed by Asad Gul, and Musa Khan while in Net Ahamd Arsad, Sanan and Awais Baloch got position. In veteran amateur, Col Mushtaq Ahamd got first position, followed by Karamat Ullah and M. Shafiq. Nadir Khawjah, M Naeem and Ihtisham Bashir got the media putting competition trophies. 
At the end, chief guest KP Golf Association vice president Brig Kheizer Sultan Raja, Station Commander Peshawar, distributed trophies and cash prizes. Dr Rehman and Chief Executive RMI Shafiqur Rehman were also present there.
