Pakistani MMA fighter, Izat Khan takes home main event belt of 1st Lion's Fighting Championship

The First ever MMA Amateur Event at D. I. Khan, 'Lion's Fighting Championship' successfully wrapped up after 13 fights were contested at HAQ Nawaz Park in Dera Ismail Khan.

The Main Event belt was taken by none other than the star Pakistani MMA fighter, Izat Khan, who hails from Peshawar alongside Co Main Event winner, Zeeshan Mehsood from the host region, both wining their bouts by unanimous decisions. 

While the Middle-weight Fight ended in the favor of Zeeshan from Layyah by Refree stoppage due to his opponent, Haseeb's nose bleeding. Another fighter to win through Refree stoppage was Gujrat's Bilal Hussain in Feather-weight title fight against a Bannu born fighter, Tauseef. 

Haji Mehsood and Bilal Mehsood from D.I. Khan, both won their fights along with Usher Murad of Islamabad earning his victory by TKO. Irfan of Peshawar won over Ubaid as well. 

Fly-weight fight was contested between Arqum and Asif where the Rogue's boxer from Lahore, Asif won the fight whereas the Straw-weight title went to Ishaq against Fayaz.   

For the first time in the history of Dera Ismail Khan, a one of a kind MMA event for amateurs was held by one of the leading MMA Academy named: Shaheen Academy managed by Mr Muzammil Aziz and Lion's Den Fight Club D. I Khan. Irfan Mehsood acted as the event's Organizing Secretary. 

According to the organizers, the mentioned mega MMA event featured World Record Holders, Irfan Mehsud, Zeeshan Mehsood, Haji Mehsud and Bilal Mehsud along with the fighters from Swat, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Lahore, Multan and Gujarat.
