E-Sports included as Demonstration Event in 33rd National Games

For the first time in 33 years of National Games, E-gaming is now being included as a Demonstration Event, the National Games 2019 are scheduled to be held from 26th October to 1st November in Peshawar.

 

The much-awaited 33rd National Games are finally being held in the province of Peshawar from 26th October to 1st November where it will feature a total of 34 sports events which have been included to b contested in this prestigious event. 

34 sports are: Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Baseball, Basketball, Cycling, Golf, Handball, Hockey, Judo, Karate, Rowing, Rugby, Sailing, Shooting, Squash, Swimming, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Tennis, Volleyball, E-gaming and Weightlifting for both Men and Women while Bodybuilding, Boxing, Gymnastics, Kabaddi, Softball, Tug of War and Wrestling are open only for Men.  

The initial list of the games does not include football because of the dispute of parallel bodies in Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), but similar disputes are also existing in other three sports at provincial levels, namely: Judo, Athletics and Cycling, but only Football is out of the gala.

But for the first time in the history of National Games, E-Sports is included as Demonstration Event in this year's edition, for which trails would be held on 27 and 28 September at Qayyum Stadium in Peshawar. 

The E-gamers are being provided with opportunities to prove their skills in total three e-gaming events which are: FIFA-19, Tekken-7 and Heatherstone.
