SSGC, PTV, PCAA & PFF Tigers draw matches at 28th National Challenge Football Cup
SSGC against PTV and PCAA battling with PFF Tigers draw match by 1-1 and 0-0 in the National Challenge Football Cup 2019 which is being played at Tehmash Khan Football Stadium in Peshawar.
Sui Southern Gas Companies (SSGC) and Pakistan Television (PTV) teams were battling for the win in the first match of the day where as the first whistle blew, both the teams started aggressively with waves of attacks at each other’s goal post and availed as well as lost several goal scoring opportunities. Big saves from both the goal keepers were seen throughout the game.
None of the teams were able to dominate as good as they could have because of the players from both sides kept moving the ball well at speed and struggled to get a foothold but PTV’s side came out progressively different after no goal from either side and slotted past SSGC team players and finally found the back of the opponent team's net at the 41st minute through Adnan Khan to which SSGC replied quite late by equalizing the score line on 1-1 in the 58th minute by an credible goal from Zain Ul Abedin.
The second encounter also witnessed a draw but this time, a goalless game between Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) and PFF Tigers.
Both the teams were seen having bossed possession equally but were unable to convert that into many meaningful scores as their struggles were not enough to earn them goals at all despite coming closing a few many times at each other’s goal post, both football teams were not able to mark any win against the opponent team.
Players of both sides kept providing goal chances and got successful but were unable to convert those attempts into goals for once till the end of the scheduled time which resulted in a 0-0 draw for both sides.
Whereas another encounter saw Army team's struggling win over Railways players by 1-0 score. Ali Raza's 59th minute goal earned Army this hard fought victory of the match.
