KPT finds itself in trouble against KRL in 28th National Football Challenge Cup

KRL FC thrashed KPT FC by 5-0 while WAPDA FC defeated Karachi United team on 2-0 score in the most recent league matches played into the 2019 National Football Challenge Cup which is being held at Tehmash Khan Football Stadium in Peshawar.

The strong, Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) football team recorded a stunning 5-0 victory over Karachi Port Trust (KPT) team as the winning team exploited the vulnerable side of losing team’s players crushing them with 5 goals leaving them no room to score for their side at all.

It was Arsalan Ali who gave a 1-0 lead to KRL team by netting the very first goal of the match at 17th minute which was further enhanced by Izhar Ullah at the 29th minute. Iftikhar Ali Khan then landed another goal on the 39th minute to finish the first half with a 3-0 lead against their rival team.

The second session did not prove any better for KPT boys as they missed out on several opportunities to goal as the goal-keeper from KRL side was coming out strong blocking all their attempts. Muhammad Imran Khan and Junaid Ahmad netted two more goals, running past several approaching players from the opponent side and got successful in finishing the match in their favor by the final score line of 5-0.

While in the second encounter of the day, WAPDA team faced Karachi United football club in which footballers from WAPDA side through their excellent foot play registered another win in the championship convincingly on a 2-0 score line.

The two goals from the winning team's side came first from Zubair in the first half of the game at the 18 minute while Adnan Saeed also a WAPDA player was warned with a yellow card for foul play. Second goal marker for WAPDA was Ashfaq Ud Din Babar who managed to slot another goal at the dying moments of the match to given his team a 2-0 victory against their enemy team.

Karachi United's team performance has not been too well in the championship even though the players compete hard with their best of skills but they seem to not be able to protect their goal post quite well.
