Furqan Cheema of Pakistan wins his debut MMA fight over Uk's Daniel Hunter in Combat Challenge

Furqan 'The Lion' Cheema beat his opponent Daniel Hunter in just two minutes ground and pound in Combat Challenge at Cedar Court Bradford in United Kingdom.

Rawalpindi born Furqan has his amateur career with a record of 9 wins and 1 loss and also boxing record of 2-0-0 (Win-Loss-Draw) while Cheema's opponent was a former bare knuckle and boxing title holder who holds a record of 0-5-0 (Win-Loss-Draw), these two were up against each other to compete in the Welterweight division at the Combat Challenge.

Pakistan’s Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter Furqan ‘The Lion‘ Cheema was already confident enough of winning his professional debut bout against Daniel 'Dan Dan' Hunter from UK in Combat Challenge at Cedar Court Bradford in United Kingdom to which Furqan won his fight in two minutes ground and pound.

Cheema showed ring rust at the beginning but managed to control the pace later into the fight. Both fighters were hesitant but Cheema managed to control and take the win. Furqan later admitted this was not his best performance and made errors due to nerves but has achieved the win which was important and aiming to stay busy from now on.

Furqan said,"I got the win tonight. I made errors but it's all a learning curve. I'm glad I got the win against a tough lad and huge respect to my opponent Dan Dan. I am going to stop having long breaks from the cage because it takes a toll mentally. Big thank you to all the support. Honestly I appreciate every single one of you, you all were amazing!
