CAS International Karakoram Alpine Ski Cup 2019 concludes successfully

The 13 nation CAS International Karakoram Alpine Ski Cup into its third edition, successfully concluded Ukraine dominating the event at PAF Ski Resort at Naltar Valley in Gilgit.

The Winter Sports Federation of Pakistan along with Pakistan Air Force (PAF) organized this mega skiing event of international level this time that featured top skiers from 13 nations including: Greece, Afghanistan, Turkey, Ukraine, Hong Kong, UK, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belgium, Morocco, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan and Tajikistan, who were seen racing on the slopes of enchanting Pakistan Air Force (PAF) ski resort. 

The athletes raced in slalom and giant slalom categories and top national skiers from various regions and associations of the country were also seen in action. 

This event was completely dominated by the Ukraine's skiers with Tsibelenko Levko and Nariichyn Andriy wining tops spots in men’s categories and it's Tetyana Tikun and Anastasia Gorbunova securing top positions in women’s category. However, it was the only Turkey's skier Usta Berkin who could overthrow their dominance by winning the men’s giant slalom category. While Pakistan's local players including Muhammad Karim, Umama Wali and Jia Ali won silver and bronze medals, respectively. 

The foreign players appreciated the immaculate arrangements for the event and showed their desire to come again for racing in the majestic mountains of Pakistan.
