Ali, Aqeel, Amir shines in 6th Indus Pharma National Juniors and Seniors Tennis Championship 2019

Muhammad Ali and Aqeel Shabbir win in the men's singles first round at the 6th Indus Pharma National Juniors and Seniors Tennis Championship being played at the at Modern Club, Karachi.

 
Muhammad Ali cruised past Saad Ahmed while Aqeel Shabbir overcame stiff challenge from Ahsan Siddiq to win in the mens singles at the 6th Indus Pharma National Juniors and Seniors Tennis Championship being played at the at Modern Club, Karachi. 

In the under-16 event, talented Ghufran Faiz was extended by Hamid Yakib before winning 6-2, 6-4 while Ashar Mir outplayed Raheel Habbir 6-0, 6-1. Meanwhile Ozair Abbas outplayed Ahmed Anwar in straight sets in the under-12 category.

In the second round of under-18 doubles event, the pair of Nouman Aftab and Saim Danish overcame Houed Azher and Ghufran Faiz by 6-0, 6-2.

Due to heavy rain overnight the schedule of mat­ches could not be completed and these matches shall be resumed on today (Tuesday) while the formal opening ceremony could also not be held.
