Mountain Dew brings Rs. 1 Million Dew Gamers Arena Championship 2018

Mountain Dew is bringing another round of fun, and huge prizes, for Pakistan’s gaming community at its Mountain Dew Gamers Arena from 19th October – 31st December.

Mountain Dew has been at the forefront of bringing new avenues and experiences for adventure seekers in Pakistan. With one of the most exciting events of the year, Mountain Dew has set the stage for yet another adventure for Dew lovers. 

Mountain Dew announced the launch of its first ever gaming platform in collaboration with the internationally leading gaming giant, ESL. Mountain Dew Gamers Arena is going to be the biggest gaming championship in Pakistan with prize money of Rs1 million up for grabs from 19th October – 31st December. Top gamers from Pakistan will compete against each other in CS:GO and Dota 2 for the title of the best gaming team in the country.

The Contest is open to all Pakistani citizens residing in Pakistan, of 16 years of age or above who have a valid and original steam game account for PC Games.

To participate in the Contest, the Participant will have to register themselves as a team of 5 Participants (‘Team’) and select their leader/captain that cannot be changed once selected. The division of the Team so formed is more specifically provided in Clause 13(f).

Following are steps to register for the competition:
  • Go to the website – store.steampowered.com
  • Click on login
  • Click on Join Steam
  • Fill details in the form which opens on the screen. All fields are mandatory.
  • Create your account as per instructions are given.
  • You would receive a mail on the registered e-mail ID used to create this Steam Account.

The event marked the official launch of the competition, that will go on for the next three months to decide the ultimate champion teams for CS:GO and Dota from 3rd October – 31st December. The exciting event unveiled a thrilling TVC announcing Mountain Dew Gamers Arena, followed by the trophy reveal for the competition.

The star studded event attracted top celebrities from across the town including Feroze Khan, Mira Sethi, Mikaal Zulfiqar, Imran Abbas, Hareem Farooq and Cybil Chaudhry.

Salman Butt, Marketing Director of PepsiCo, discussed the future of gaming in Pakistan and the potential it holds in the international arena. He further talked about the decision of Mountain Dew to provide a platform for passionate gaming enthusiasts to showcase their skills and represent Pakistan globally in the field. Top management of ESL was invited to discuss the competition mechanics and answer questions regarding the championship.
