Japan maintained their unblemished record against Pakistan by winning the Davis Cup by Rakuten World Group I tie 4-0 at the Pakistan Sports Complex grass courts, Islamabad.

The Davis Cup World Group I tie between Pakistan and Japan, will be played on 5th and 6th March at the Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad.
The host Pakistan line-up features some familiar names, with the country’s two longest –serving players–Aisam ul-Haq Qureshi and Aqeel Khan called into action once again.
The third seed Japan has no less than five players amongst the top 200 ATP ranking. It will be after almost 18 years that Pakistan will be playing against Asia’s best team in Davis Cup tie.
This important tie will decide which team will go on to play World Group play-off against the best of the world.
