Results:

  • Men’s Single (Final):  Muzammil Murtaza beat Aqeel Khan: 6-4, 7-5 
  • Men’s Doubles (Final): Aqeel Khan, Muzammil Murtaza beat M. Abid, Waqas Malik: 4-6,6-4,(10-8) 
  • Women’s Doubles Final: Mahin Aftab and Ushna Suhail defeated Sara Mansoor and Sarah Mahboob Khan 6-1,6-4.
  • Boys 18& under (Final): M. Shoaib beat Subhan bin Salik: 5-7,6-3,6-1
  • Boy’s U-14 Singles (Final): Bilal Asim beat Haider Ali Rizwan: 6-2,6-3
  • Boy’s U-14 Doubles (Final): M. Huzaifa Khan , Hamid Israr beat Ahmed Nael, Bilal Asim: 4-1,4-0 
  • Boy’s/ Girl’s U-12 (Final): Hamza Roman beat Husnain Ali Rizwan: 4-2,3-5,4-2
  • Boy’s/ Girl’s U-10 (Final): Hamza Ali Rizwan beat M. Hassan Usmani: 4-0,5-4(2) 
  • Seniors 45 (Final): Rashid Malik (ZTBL), Hameed ul Haq beat Israr Gul, Irfanullah: 4-6,6-1(10-8)

Background:

Pakistan Tennis Federation in collaboration with the Saif Group of Companies were organized the 5th edition of the Kulsum Saifullah Khan National Ranking Tennis Championships from 13th-19 January.

This was a Grade-A Tournament offering several events in various categories. The tournament was played on the World Class “Plexipave Cushion Prestige” surface of the courts at the SDA-PTF Tennis Complex, Islamabad. 

It is amongst the leading prestigious events in the tennis calendar, organised by the Saifullah Khan family in memory of their mother, the late Begum Kulsum Saifullah Khan.  

 Mr. Salim Saifullah Khan, President PTF, on behalf of the Saif Group, distributed a total prize money of Rs. 800,000/- among the winners and runners up, and other prize winners, in the events contested for Men’s Singles & Doubles, Ladies Singles & Doubles.

In the juniors categories, Boys 18U & 14U, Boys & Girls 12U & 10U were played. As well, Seniors 45+ Doubles was also featured in the events. Daily & traveling allowances as per the PTF policy were given to outstation participating players reaching the main draws.
