Jordan Secures Victory Against Pakistan in FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers

Pakistan will now face Jordan in an away fixture on March 26.

 
In a FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers match held at Jinnah Stadium of Pakistan Sports Complex, Jordan outplayed Pakistan with a 3-0 victory. Jordan's star player Mousa Al Tamari scored two goals, while Ali Olwan contributed with one goal. Tamari's early goal in the 2nd minute set the tone for Jordan's dominance, followed by Olwan's penalty in the 9th minute, giving Jordan a 2-0 lead at halftime.

Despite Pakistan's efforts in the second half, Tamari secured Jordan's victory with another goal in the 86th minute. Pakistan's goalkeeper Yousaf Ijaz Butt showcased exceptional skills, saving several goals, including a penalty. Jordan's Musa Al-Altmari was declared the player of the match.

With this win, Jordan moves to third place in Group G, while Pakistan remains at the bottom after losing all three games.

Pakistan will travel to Jordan for the away fixture on March 26. This match marks Jordan's first visit to Pakistan in 18 years, as they last toured in 2006.
