Muhammad Inam Butt catches Bronze in Tokyo Olympics Asian Qualifying round

Proficient wrestler, Muhammad Inam Butt of Pakistan collected another medal to his tally when he won bronze medal in Tokyo Olympics Asian Qualifying round in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Two-time world beach wrestling champion, Mohammad Inam Butt of Pakistan collected another medal to his tally when he won bronze medal in Tokyo Olympics Asian Qualifying round in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Displaying his best skills, Inam downed Kyrgyz wrestler, Symbat Sulaimanov by 10-7 and claimed a bronze medal in the 97kg repechage.

This is the first time that Pakistan won a medal in the Asian qualifying round in the country’s wrestling history.

Secretary Pakistan Wrestling Federation Arshad Sattar said Inam had done well despite suffering from knee pain.

"Although he could not earn a Tokyo ticket, he won a bronze medal, which is a great achievement," he added.

The two-time Commonwealth Games gold medalist, Inam still has the chance to make the cut for the Tokyo Games in the World Olympic Qualifiers, taking place in Sofia, Bulgaria from May 6-9.
