Hamid Israr, Sami Zeb, Abdullah, Huzaifa Khan set to feature in J-5 ITF Pakistan International Juniors Tennis Championships 2021(I)

A total of 49 foreign players from 20 countries will participate in the J-5 ITF Pakistan International Juniors Tennis Championships 2021 which is scheduled to be held in Islamabad from February 1-6.

 

International Tennis Federation (ITF) has allotted two international junior events to Pakistan.

A total of 49 foreign players from 20 countries will participate in the J-5 ITF Pakistan International Juniors Tennis Championships 2021 which is scheduled to be held in Islamabad.

The first event has been named as ITF Pakistan International Junior Tennis Championship 2021 (I), which is slated to be held from 1st-6th February at PTF Tennis Complex, Islamabad.

There are 25 boys and 24 girls in the main and qualifying draws of this first international junior tennis event of the year in the country.

According to the main draw of the boys’ category, Lucan Phanthala of France is the top seed while four Pakistani players managed to enter the main draw on the basis of their international rankings.

The four Pakistani players are comprising of: 9th seeded Hamid Israr, Sami Zeb 16th seed, Abdullah 17th, and Huzaifa Khan 20th.

According to the main draw of the girls’ category 5 Pakistani girls will display their skills in the championship which comprise of Zahra Suleman is 8th seed, Sajid Sheeza is 12th seed, Fatima Ali Raja is 17th Mahrukh Farooqui and Farah Shah Khan are 20th and 21st seed, respectively.

The qualifying and main draws of singles are of 32 places while the doubles draw is of 16 places.
