Talented sisters Ghalia & Maliha capture Karachi Table Tennis C'ship women's double title

Former national champion Ghalia and Former-national junior champion, Maliha coasted to a 3-1 victory over Sadia and Hareem in the women's double final of Karachi Table Tennis Championship at Islamia Club, Karachi.

 

Talented sisters Ghalia Mohsin and Maliha Ansar returned to winning ways after a long time when they captured the women’s doubles title in the Karachi Table Tennis Championship at Islamia Club, Karachi.

Ghalia, a former national champion and Maliha, Former-national junior champion, coasted to a 11-5, 8-11, 11-2, 11-5 victory over Sadia and Hareem in the final.

Similarly, Arsalan removed the last seeded survivor Furqan Patel 5-11, 14-12, 11-13, 7-11, 12-10, 11-6, 11-8 to reach his career’s maiden final. Now, Aahil will meet Arsalan in men’s singles final.

Meanwhile, highly talented Aahil Shah and Arsalan Alvi on penultimate day stormed into men’s singles final by getting the better of their respective opponents in grueling semi-finals that went full distances.

Aahil, who has strong credentials and is appearing in the event after a layoff, was extended to limits by Saim Adnan before returning victorious 7-11, 11-9, 8-11, 13-11, 11-6, 9-11, 11-7.

 The Women’s singles final will be played today (Thurday) at 5:00 pm while men’s singles final will be at 6:00 pm. The mixed doubles and men’s doubles has also reached the final stage.
