Three matches decided in Inter-varsity Women Football

Imperial College for Business Studies, LUMS University and University of Lahore carved out victories in the All Pakistan Inter-varsity Women Football Championship 2016 after defeating their rivals in the respective matches here at Pakistan Sports Complex.

Imperial College for Business Studies, LUMS University and University of Lahore carved out victories in the All Pakistan Inter-varsity Women Football Championship 2016 after defeating their rivals in the respective matches here at Pakistan Sports Complex on Monday. 
As many as 15 universities of the country have been participating in the HEC-organised championship while Preston University is the host of the event. 
Three matches were played on the second day. In the first match of the day, Imperial College for Business Studies outclassed University of Karachi 2-0. Farzana scored the first goal in the 12th minute, while Zari thwarted second in the dying moments. LUMS University routed Islamia University Bahawalpur 2-0 with Ayesha Khan and Batool scoring one goal each for the winners. In the third and last match of the day, University of Lahore thrashed Iqra University 4-0. Naureen scored a brace, while Mubeera and Aseen hit one goal apiece. 
In the All-Pakistan Table Tennis Championship 2016, hosted by Fatima Jinnah Women University at Hamidi Hall, Pakistan Sports Complex, 22 universities have been taking part. 
University Grants Commission Director General Sports Aman Ullah inaugurated the event. 
In the first match, Iqra University beat Arid Agriculture University 3-0. Palwasha beat Nazra Batool, Farah Ilyas beat Sherish Khan and Afseen beat Rida Tahir. In the second match, Lahore College of Women University beat Quiad-e-Azam University Nawab Shah 3-0. Noor Asma beat Amna, Sobia beat Sanam and Iqra Tayyab beat Amara. Fatima Jinnah University beat Balochistan University of Information Technology and Engineering Management Sciences 3-1. Tanzeela Khan beat Warda 3-0, Iqra beat Abeera 3-1, Larain beat Rida 3-1. NUST beat COMSTATS Islamabad 3-0. Saira Sajid beat Bisma, Muneeba beat ANum and Valia Waqar beat Saba, Abdul Wali Khan Women University. Mardan beat Kohat University of Science and Technology 3-0. Hajra beat Safina, Gul PAri beat Saba Hiyat and Aliya beat Maria.
