Asher Mir sweeps USA's Nadir to reach semis of ATF-14 & under Super Tennis Series (Leg-2)

Top seed Asher continually put Nadir Mirza of USA under pressure to coast his way into the semifinals of ongoing Rotary Club Karachi (sports) ATF-14 & under Super Series Tennis Championship leg-2 at DHA Creek Club courts, Karachi.

 
The title winner of recently concluded Commissioner Karachi ATF 14 & Under Super Series Tennis Championships (Leg 1) Asher Mir, ousted wildcard entrant Nadir Mirza of USA in two straight sets.

Asher of Pakistan who continually put his opponent under pressure and stayed in contention by rallying to beat the American with the final score line of 6-1, 6-0.

Other three emerging players Zain Ehtisham, Ahmed Nael Qureshi and Ibrahim Yousaf (USA) advanced into the semifinals by winning their respective matches in straight sets.

At DHA Creek Club courts, one of the preeminent match of the day was held between wildcard entrants Syed Raahim bin Veqar and Ibrahim Sajjad which lasted one hour and 30 minutes.

Ibrahim, however, won the stimulating match despite losing the first set at 3-6. Ibrahim won the final set at super tie break to secure 9th position in ongoing Rotary Club Karachi (sports) ATF-14 & under Super Series Tennis Championship leg-2.

The final score line was 3-6, 6-4, 10-7.
