20th Asian Senior Men's Volleyball Championship: Pakistan to face Australia today

Chinese Taipei upstaged Pakistan narrowly on 3-2 score line in their pool F encounter of the 2019 Asian Senior Men's Volleyball Championship which is being held in Tehran, Iran.

 
Pakistan suffered yet another defeat in 20th Asian Senior Men's Volleyball Championship against their pool encounter with Chinese Taipei by 3-2 as the final scoreline. 

Chinese Taipei team dominated first three sets to which Pakistan bounced back to win the last two but with just one set loss, Pakistan did not make it to the game's triumph this time. 

Following are the set scores of the clash:
Pakistan is now set to compete against Australia to decide which team would qualify for the semi finals, but if Pakistan lose this encounter as well, they will be playing for the playoffs for the 5th-8th positions.

Pakistan team have played a total of four matches in the tournament among which, the green shirts were able to claim two victories while losing other two clashes. Earlier, Pakistan opened their campaign against South Korean Team where they went down to the four time champions, on 3-0 score line.

But Pakistani team quickly bounced back by winning their second encounter in a thrilling game against Indonesia by 3-2 and the team continued their winning run as they further triumphed in their third group clash against Kuwait, claiming the match on 3-1 scoreline. But lost to Japan on 3-0 score in their fourth clash. 

The 2019 Asian Men's Volleyball Championship is being the 20th edition of the Asian Men's Volleyball Championship, a biennial international volleyball tournament organised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Islamic Republic of Iran Volleyball Federation (IRIVF) which is featuring teams from: South Korea, Indonesia, Kuwait, Iran, Pakistan, Australia, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Japan, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, Hong Kong, Kazakhstan, China, Oman and India.
