20th Asian Senior Men's Volleyball Championship | PAK VS Chinese Taipei | Today

Pakistan Volleyball Team is all set to take on Chinese Taipei today in Asian Senior Men's Volleyball Championship 2019 which is being played in Tehran city of Iran.

 

Pakistan Volleyball Team is all set to now battle against Chinese Taipei Volleyball Team in their pool F encounter today at 13:30 GMT+4.30 while Pakistan recently lost to Japan in their quarterfinal game by 3-0. 

The strong Japanese side made Pakistan fall to them by the set scores of 25-23, 25-20 and 25-21. Even though it is yet to be decided that whether Pakistan have or have not qualified for the semi-final stage of this mega international event, it was not much of an embarrassing blowout for the team as they compete hard enough, giving tough time to the Japanese people, who struggled at the hands of talented and skilled Pakistani players to triumph over them. 


Pakistan team have played a total of four matches in the tournament among which, the green shirts were able to claim two victories while losing other two clashes. Earlier, Pakistan opened their campaign against South Korean Team where they went down to the four time champions, on 3-0 score line. 

But Pakistani team quickly bounced back by winning their second encounter in a thrilling game against Indonesia by 3-2 and the team continued their winning run as they further triumphed in their third group clash against Kuwait, claiming the match on 3-1 scoreline.

The 2019 Asian Men's Volleyball Championship is being the 20th edition of the Asian Men's Volleyball Championship, a biennial international volleyball tournament organised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Islamic Republic of Iran Volleyball Federation (IRIVF) which is featuring teams from: South Korea, Indonesia, Kuwait, Iran, Pakistan, Australia, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Japan, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, Hong Kong, Kazakhstan, China, Oman and India.
