Pakistan marks 4th straight victory at 3rd Asian Men's U-23 Volleyball Championship

Pakistan team convincingly won over Sri Lanka on 3-1 score line to continue their winning streak in the 2019 Asian Men's U-23 Volleyball Championship which is being held in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar.

 

As expected, Pakistan Volleyball Team did not disappoint the nation by registering their fourth consecutive win in the  3rd Asian Men's U-23 Volleyball Championship where the team was up against Sri Lanka, who were crushed by the Green Shirts by 3-1 as the final score line. 


Pakistani team started the first set on a fast pace, quickly dominating it through their perfect smashes towards the opponent team players which they miserable missed to defend themselves against thus falling to Pakistan team by 25-17. The second was no different from the first for both the teams as Pakistan claimed it as well by 25-20. 


However, Sri Lanka boys staged a comeback in the third set to win it narrowly by 25-21 but Pakistan team players did not take any pressure and kept up their winning performance but had to  struggle hard at the hands of Sri Lankan boys to take hold of the fourth and decisive set on the final score of 30-28, which declared them the winners of the match. 


This was not first, second or even third win for Pakistan but fourth that also being the consecutive in this mega international tournament as the team made a flying start at the 3rd Asian Men's U-23 Volleyball Championship when they thrashed their opponent team: Qatar in their opening match by 3-0 and also wrapped up their second victory against Bahrain on 3-0 as well. 


The third win came for the Pakistani boys when they defeated Chinese Taipie by 3-1 score in their third group encounter, thus continuing their winning performance by taking the victory of their fourth game against Sri Lanka yesterday. And now, the team is all set to take on Australia today.
