Pakistan maintains unbeaten run at 3rd Asian Men's U-23 Volleyball Championship

Pakistan convincingly defeated Chinese Taipei by 3-1 to record their third straight win in the 2019 Asian Men's U-23 Volleyball Championship which is being held in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar.

Pakistan Volleyball Team was up against Chinese Taipei in their last match of the preliminary round of Group C where Pakistan team performance seemed to have fell down as they lost the very first set on the score of 20-25 but soon with the two changes made by the team Coach to bring  Murad Khan in place of Fahad, and Usman Faryad in place of Anwar, staged a fine comeback for the team.

With this change, Pakistan's defence and blocking strategy of the game play became stronger and the boys did not allow the opponent team players to score at their side, winning all the three remaining sets by 25-18, 25-17 and 25-22.

To the team's third straight victory, Pakistan Team Captain, Fahad said,

"My team played remarkably well against Chinese Taipei. We made a stunning comeback today. Our attack is strong and so is block and reception. The way the boys are playing I am confident that we will continue our golden run in the quarter-finals."

Earlier, Pakistan Team made a flying start at the 3rd Asian Men's U-23 Volleyball Championship when they thrashed their opponent team: Qatar in their first group match on a 3-0 score line then wrapped up their second victory against Bahrain, also by 3-0 final score in their second group play-off.

Now, Pakistan and Chinese Taipei have been put against Australia and Sri Lanka in the group and Pakistan will be battling for the next spot against Sri Lanka tomorrow and then the Pakistani boys will take on Australia on Thursday.

Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF) have announced Rupees 100,000 for the team for their stunning display in this mega international event.
