Open Archery trials for National Archery Team: Day 1 results

Open archery trails were held under the banner of Pakistan Archery Federation for the selection of National Archery Team at Islamabad Sports Complex in Islamabad.

Open Archery trails were held today at Sports Complex Islamabad under the supervision of Pakistan Archery Federation's selection committee which included: Major Sajid from Pakistan Army in place of Col Sadaf, Mr. Muhammad Razaq Gill from Pakistan WAPDA and Mr. Wisal Muhammad in place of Mr. Imtiaz Ahmad Khan whose presence was missed due to sudden death of his brother).

A total of about 50 talented archers tried their best to mark as much possible accurate score, who belonged to Pakistan Army, Pakistan WAPDA, Police, Pakistan Customs, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,  Punjab, Sindh and Islamabad.

At the end, Secretary General Pakistan Archery Federation, thanked all the participants especially Mr. Muhammad Razaq Gill and Major Sajid and all other officials for their cooperation in conducting these trails successfully.

He also thanked Director General Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) for providing the facilities to their players and organizers enabling them to hold the trails in very befitting manners. He also thanked the press media for their cooperation in this connection.

Nabeela Kausar of Army accumulated a total of 541 points to take the top spot, followed by Ume Zahra also from Army with 537 points. WAPDA's Nighat Naheed accumulated 490 points to settle for the third position. 

Army's two more skilled archers, Sumbal Zubair and Ume Kalsoom each collected 470 and 469 points to their tally, managing 4th and 5th spots, respectively. 6th position holder stood Aqsa Nawaz and Zunaira Liaqat from WAPDA with 459 and 397 points took the 7th and 8th spots. Army's Sehrish as able to pocket 369 points and Saira Dilshad managed 366 to claim 9th and 10th spots.
