Pakistan to feature in 3rd Asian Men's Under-23 Volleyball Championship

Pakistan Volleyball Federation has unveiled the final squad for participation in Asian Men's Under-23 Volleyball Championship 2019 which is slated to be held from 3rd to 11th August in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar.

 
The Asian Men's U-23 Volleyball Championship is an international volleyball competition in Asia and Oceania contested by the under 23 men's national teams of the members of Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC), the sport's continent governing body. 

This year's edition will be hosted by Myanmar in Nay Pyi Taw from 3rd to 11th August and will feature a total of sixteen (16) teams that will compete against each other so as to earn the ultimate title of this championship. These teams have been divided into four (4) different pools among which Pakistan have been placed in pool C along side Chinese Taipei, Qatar and Bahrain.

POOL DIVISION


The 2017 edition of this championship had 11 nations competing for the title win among which Iran took the final victory home and which proved as their second title win in home soil. While Pakistan stood on 6th spot.

Squad: Mohammad Waseem, Fahad Raza (Captain), Abdullah, Murad Khan, Ali Haider, Ahmed Nazir, Mohammad Hammad, Zarnab Khan, Anwar Khan, Adnan Khan, Hamid Yazman, Mohammad Yasin, Nadeem Khan, Usman Farhyad Ali. 

Officials: Nasir Mehmood (Manager), Kyounghoon Kim (Head Coach), Mazhar Hussain (Assistant Coach), Mohammad Akbar Ali (Assistant Coach), Chaudhry Yaqoob (Chairman PVF).

The Korean coach has replaced Iranian coach, Hamid Movahedi who served Pakistan for a couple of years and now the Pakistan's Volleyball Team have been coaching under this Korean Coach. The squad along with the officials will leave for Myanmar on tomorrow.
