Top notch Pakistani wrestler, Inam Butt beat Azerbaijan's world military champion, Kanan Aliyev by 1-0 in Beach Wrestling World Series 2019

Premier wrestler, Muhammad Inam Butt of Pakistani won both of the his competitions against his counterparts from Turkey and Azerbaijan and stormed his way into the final of Beach Wrestling World Series 2019 which are being held in Rio de Janeiro, Bazil.

2018 Commonwealth Games gold medalist, Muhammad Inam Butt was up against Murat Ozkan from Turkey in Pre-Quarter-Finals of World Beach Games 2019 in 90 KG weight class, where he once again proved his mettle and won by a lead of 3-0. Inam etched his name on the first victory of Rio games by crushing his opponent with his inevitable fight skills in just 30 seconds. 

While in the second match, Inam locked horns with the World Military Champion and European medalist from Azerbaijan, Kanan Aliyev and earned his second win by a lead of 1-0. To this double win the wrestler said,

“It was a tough fight but thanks to Almighty that I won it. My opponent was a very tough fighter as he was world military event champion and a European medallist. But I kept my cool and beat him in the end.”

Now Inam will have to face Brazil's Wanderson Messias Da Silva Lima in his third and last round that will decide upon the final winner of the games. According to Pakistan Standard Time, Inam's last round will begin at 10:00 PM sharp. 

Pride of Performance award winning wrestler, Inam has an International Career record of total 22 fights, among which he has lost just 1 fight while winning all the other 21 fights. He have collected in his tally quite a number of international titles along with national titles which include: 2010 and 2018 Commonwealth Games gold medals, two World Beach Championships' titles and Rustam-E-Pakistan 2019 which the 30 year old wrestler, had the honor of earning this title after 25 years of struggle as 25 years back, this title was of Shahid Pahlwan and after this 4 consecutive titles won by Lahori wrestlers.

His biggest challenge, for these games had been to reduce his weight for the 90 KG weight class in which he has now featured in, For this purpose, he has been in training constantly all on his and he got successfully in reducing his 10 KG of weight for these Brazil Games in just 25 days.

Gujranwala born wrestler, Muhammad Inam have set his eyes on making a place in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and the event in Brazil and other two World Series events to be held in Ukraine in August and Croatia in September will be of great value for him to participate in as these events serve as qualifiers for the World Beach Games which will be held in San Diego, USA, from October 10-15. The top eight grapplers in one weight category will make it to the World Beach Games.
