Khyber Pakhtunkhwa claims Inter Provincial Archery Championship 2019

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa won 2 gold medals in team events of the first ever Inter Provincial Archery Championship which concluded successfully in Quetta and Balochistan.

The first ever Inter Provincial Archery Championship was organized by Pakistan Archery Federation which featured teams from all the provinces including: the host, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Punjab, and Sindh while the two autonomous territories: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and federal territory; Islamabad.

Archery teams from the above mentioned provinces were comprised of 3 males, 3 females and one official each. All these skilled players were seen competing against each other with all their power so as to earn the ultimate title of the championship for their respective team. 

The first competition was held in the Individual category (Male) whose title was taken by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Israr Ul Haq as he won gold medal, followed by another talented archer from KP namely; Wajahat. Qasim of Punjab settled for the bronze medal. The Women competitions in same category were also competed in which Punjab took the gold and bronze medals through Hina and Sadia while Aqsa Shah from KP won silver medal. 

Team Event (Male) winner stood Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, followed by Punjab while Balochistan and Islamabad settled for bronze medals together. Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan won gold, silver and bronze medals in the Mix Team Event.
