Usman Wazeer set to make international boxing debut at Knockout Night Dubai

Usman "The Asian Boy" Wazeer will be making his professional debut at Palm Jumeirah Dubai where he will be up against his counterpart from Morocco. Usman has been trained at the Amir Khan Boxing Academy in Islamabad and has impressed the Pakistan-Origin British boxer, Amir Khan with his skills. 

Former unified light-welterweight world champion, Amir Khan announced that Pakistani boxer Usman Wazeer will be having his first professional fight on his card.

“Usman Wazir will compete on my card in the event, he has impressed me with his skills and that is why I have decided to give him this fight.” 

Amir Khan is ready to work with Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF) for promoting boxing sport in the country and has been doing efforts for the same regard as well. 

“After being a professional boxer, I am ready to offer my services to the Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF). I want to do a lot for boxing in Pakistan.” said Amir Khan who is looking forward to seeing the Pakistani flag flying high in Dubai.

Gilgit born boxer, Usman was suppose to have his debut fight in New York on 20th April, 2019 but due to certain visa issues, the fight was shifted to Dubai where it was far easier for him to reach. 

Amir Khan's favored boxer, Usman recently had his Media Workout done at the Mall of Emirates and after he was finished with his workout, he was asked within the ring to express how he feels about his fight tonight to which he said:

"I can not predict the result before the fight as it will be fairly clear after the fight is done. I am very hopeful and Insh'Allah I will win. I have huge respect for my country and that's why I have worked really hard for last 4 months to make my nation proud by winning my professional debut." 

The emerging boxer also thanked Amir Khan for his huge support and giving him this chance to have his professional first ever fight.
