Navy, PAF & HEC shines in National Senior Men’s Volleyball Championship 2019
Navy, PAF, HEC, Punjab, Army and Police defeated their respective opponents to mark wins in Ndure National Senior Men’s Volleyball Championship 2019 which is being played at Nishtar Park Sports Complex in Lahore.
Navy and Islamabad teams were facing each other to take the win home in the first match of the day in which Navy stood victorious as the team won all of the three sets easily by 25-13 then, 25-16 and the last one by 25-15. While the second clash win was claimed by Pakistan Air Force (PAF) teams as PAF also marked a convincing win against the vulnerable side of Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) by taking the three sets on 25-15, 25-19 and 25-22 score.
Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) fought in the third encounter which ended up being a thrilling contest in which Higher Education (HEC) team played like a unit and number of good performances were shown as they managed to win all the sets even though they were given tough time by the opponent team. The set scores were: 25-22, 25-21 and 25-21. It was a close call win for Higher Education Commission (HEC) but a huge loss for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
Sindh team in the first round, lead the match with 25-19 while in next two as well, Sindh team made successful shots and won both sets by 30-28 and 25-20.
Police and Army teams also won their respective matches against Balochistan and FATA by set scores of 3-0. Balochistan lost to Police by 18-25, 11-25 and 12-25 while FATA suffered the loss by 10-25, 20-25 and 16-25 against Army.
As many as 14 teams are giving their all to win the battle of earning the title of this week long championship, that belong to different departments and provinces of the country. Ndure is being the title sponsor of this championship.
