Inam Butt to represent Pakistan in Asian Wrestling Championships 2019

Pakistan’s premier wrestler Muhammad Inam Butt will be representing Pakistan in the upcoming 2019 Asian Wrestling Championships which are scheduled to be held from 24-28 April in Xian, China.

According to the information provided by Pakistan Wrestling Federation Secretary, Arshad Sattar, Commonwealth Games gold medalist, Muhammad Inam Butt will feature in the Asian Wrestling Championships 2019 representing Pakistan in the 92 KG weight category.

Pakistan's top wrestler, Inam will be accompanied by his Coach, Sohail Rasheed and he is the only wrestler from the country to feature in this international event as well. Participation in any weight category in Asian Championship was mandatory as the countries missing the continental event are not allowed to send their outfits for the World Wrestling Championships which are scheduled to be held in Kazakhstan in September to which Ashad Sattar said,

“Our focus is on the World Championships where besides Inam we will send three more wrestlers including Mohammad Bilal in 57 KG, Inayat Ullah 65 KG and Haroon Abid in 125 KG weight classes.”
The winner at the World Wrestling Championships can earn a quota spot for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Inam is one of the main hopes of Pakistan for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and he will be able to participate in that international world event if he gets quality training on foreign soil thus to qualify further more rounds that leads the road towards his participation in 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Inam also is a gold medalist of Delhi Commonwealth Games in 2010 and in the year 2016 he had won Silver medal in the Men's Freestyle 86 KG in Commonwealth Wrestling Championships. Then in Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, Australia, this Pakistani wrestler outclassed his opponent Melvin Bibo of Nigeria by 6:0 to win another gold medal for Pakistan.

Muhammad Inam Butt is regarded as the best wrestler from Pakistan who has made our nation proud by winning several national and international events as his collection comprises, not just of the two gold medals from the Commonwealth Games but also, two of the World Beach Championships titles.
