Railways, Police & POF stand victorious in National Senior Men’s Volleyball Championship 2019

Railways, Police, POF, WAPDA & Navy teams defeated their respective opponents and won the matches on the second day of Ndure National Senior Men’s Volleyball Championship 2019 which is being held at Nishtar Park Sports Complex in Lahore.

 
The second day of the National Senior Men's Volleyball Championship 2019 saw six matches being played in which the first match winner stood the talented side of Railways as the team won their opening match against Gilgit-Baltistan 3-0 sets. 

It was a convincing win of the Railways team, the boys did not have to struggle much as they one the sets one after the other, first by 25-19 and then the second on 25-16 points as well. The third and final set decided the winner as Railways won easily by 25-10. While in the second clash between Police and FATA teams witness Police players easy win by 3-0. The winning team's boys claimed the first set on 25-13 and the second by 25-8. The deceiving set finished the game in a one-sided encounter as they won it by 25-16. 

Whereas Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) had to struggle for the win against the strong Punjab boys before winning in straight sets with a close margin in every set as the scores were 25-21, 25-22, 25-18. WAPDA etch its name on the winning side, on the second day of the championship as well as the team defeated Azad Jammu and Kashmir and wrapped up the victory by the scores of 25-17, 25-11 and 25-21.

In fifth and sixth matches, Navy and Army stood victorious by completely beating their opponents: Higher Education Commission and Balochistan with the scores of 25-23, 25-17, 25-22 and 25-9, 25-13, 25-14, respectively. 

As many as 14 teams are competing in this week long championship, that belong to different departments and provinces of the country. Players from their respective teams are seen in action, competing against each other so as to earn the ultimate title of the championship.
