18th National Men & Women Netball Championship continue in full swing

As many as 16 teams are competing for the title of National Men & Women Netball Championship 2019 which is being played at Hameedi Hall, Pakistan Sports Complex in Islamabad.

 

The Women and Men's Semi finals match will be played today in which the defending Champion Sindh, HEC, Pakistan WAPDA and Pakistan Army will qualify for the semifinals of Women event while Sindh, Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Army and defending champion Pakistan WAPDA have reached to the semi final of men event.

In the first Women's quarter final match, defending champion Sindh defeated Elite PNF by 25-03 goals while in the second quarter final, Pakistan WAPDA thrashed Islamabad by 44-02 goals, Higher Education Commission (HEC) also out played Gilgit Baltistan by crushing them on 43-01 goals in the third quarter final game whereas, Pakistan Army claimed the win over Khyber Pakhtunkhwa team by 42-22 goals in last quarter final game. 

In the Men's first quarter final match, Pakistan Navy cameout victorious over Baluchistan by 26-14 and in the second match, Sindh defeated Pakistan Railways on a 23-17 score line. Pakistan Army won against Gilgit Baltistan convincingly by 46-11 goals and Pakistan WAPDA earned the win over Punjab team by 35-22 goals in the 3rd and 4th quarter final matches, respectively. 

Fixtures of today games:

In first Women's quarter final match, Sindh will face HEC and Pakistan WAPDA will meet Pakistan Army in the second semi final match. 

In Men's semi finals: Pakistan Navy is to compete against Pakistan Army in the 1st semi final and Sindh will fight against Pakistan WAPDA in the 2nd semi final match.

President, Pakistan Netball Federation, Mudassar Arian, Secretary General, Muhammad Riaz, Secretary General, Pakistan Throwball Federation, Maqbool Arian were the chief guests who witnessed the matches being played along with a large number of fans of the sport. 

The 18th edition of National Men and Women Netball Championship is being organized by Pakistan Netball Federation (PNF) in collaboration with Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) that is featuring a total of about 16 teams, players from which are seen battling against each other so as to earn the ultimate title of the championship.
