Lahore lifts 2nd Quaid-E-Azam Wushu Cup

Lahore, Gujranwala and Rawalpindi stands on the first 3 positions of Quaid-E-Azam Wushu Cup 2019 which concluded successfully at Nishtar Park Sports Complex Gymnasium Hall in Lahore.

The second edition of Quaid-E-Azam Wushu Cup was organized by Divisional and District Sports Office Lahore under the supervision of Sports Board Punjab (SBP) that featured various fighters who compete in about seven (7) different weight categories which were divided in both male and female classes. 

Both male and female players of all nine divisions of Punjab show cased their best of fighting skills in which the male players had their fights in -42 KG, -44 KG, -48 KG, -52 KG, -56 KG, -60 KG and -65 KG weight categories. While the female fighters' competitions were conducted in -48 KG, -52 KG and -56 KG weight categories. 

Fighters from Lahore region were on top throughout the competitions as they collected a tally of 160 points and now stands on the top spot of the championship. They were followed by Gujranwala who accumulated a total of 70 points while the third position went to Rawalpindi with 65 points. 


Following are the women category results:

48 KG:  1. Sargodha, 2. Lahore, 3. Gujranwala and Sahiwal.
52 KG:  1. Gujranwala, 2. Faisalabad, 3. Rawalpindi and Sargodha.
56 KG:  1. Lahore, 2. Sahiwal, 3. Rawalpindi and Faisalabad.
Kung Fu:  Samreen (Rawalpindi), 2. Jannat (Lahore), 3. Ayesha (Gujranwala), Mahrukh (Bahawalpur).

Punjab Sports Minister Rai Taimur Khan Bhatti was the honorable chief guest who witnessed the competitions being fought and at the end distributed prizes among high achievers of the championship.
