The Pakistan team will proceed to Sri Lanka on Friday to attend a week-long acclimatization-cum-training camp ahead of the all-important Davis Cup tie against China in the same country.

Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) secretary Khalid Rehmani told APP on Thursday that the sibling duo of Aqeel Khan and Yasir Khan will leave from Karachi with Mohammad Abid Mushtaq and two officials — Azam Jamil and Shehzad Alvi — traveling from Lahore.

"Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, who is in Dubai due for the Dubai Open, will join the team on Saturday," added Rehmani. Rehmani said that Pakistan players had recently returned from India after featuring at the South Asian Games and prior to that they attended a two-month extensive training camp.

Pakistan, who have not hosted a home tie since 2005, were forced to host their Asia Oceania Group I Davis Cup tie —from March 4 to 6 — against China in Sri Lanka after International Tennis Federation (ITF) turned down PTF's appeal of playing the tie in Pakistan.
