Seasoned campaigner & Davis Cupper Aqeel Khan shines in 4th Hassan Tariq Rahim Masters Cup Invitational Tennis Tournament 2018

Aqeel Khan showed his supremacy in the men’s singles with a straight set victory as he beated Ahmed Chaudhry 6-3, 6-1 in the 4th Hassan Tariq Rahim Masters Cup Invitational Tennis Tournament here at Lahore Gymkhana Courts, Lahore.

Seasoned campaigner and Davis Cupper Aqeel Khan Aqeel Khan showed his supremacy in the men’s singles with a straight set victory as he  beated Ahmed Chaudhry 6-3, 6-1 in a lop-sided 22-minute contest on the third day of the 4th Hassan Tariq Rahim Masters Cup Invitational Tennis Tournament here at Lahore Gymkhana Courts, Lahore. 

Mohammad Abid also advanced in the men’s singles event after a tough battle against Shamael Chaudhry, who quit due to cramps while trailing 6-7 (9-11), 1-4.

Ushna Suhail, Sara Mansoor, Mehwish Chishti and Sara Mahboob Khan moved into the next round of the women’s singles event after routine victories.

Ushna defeated Khunsha Chaudhry 6-0, 6-2, Sara thrashed Eshaa Jawed 6-1, 6-0, Mehwish cruised past Nida Akram 6-1, 6-0 and Sara Mahboob outclassed Noor Malik 6-1, 6-1.

In the under-18 boys’ singles, Mohamamad Shoaib handed a double-bagel drubbing to Shehryar Tariq, Huzaifa ousted Taimur Saleem 6-2, 6-0 and Saqib made short work of Aqib Hayat 6-0, 6-1.

In the men’s doubles, Shahzad Khan and Ahmed Chaudhry beat Yousuf Khalid and Mohamamad Shoaib 6-1, 6-2.

Mohammad Abid and Mohammad Waqas Malik moved ahead, ending the challenge of Abid Ali Akbar and Shamael 5-7 (3-7), 6-4, 10-6.

Muzammil Murtaza and Mudassar Murtaza also faced stiff opposition before prevailing against Imran Bhatti and Tariq Sadiq 6-1, 3-6, 10-3.
