Baadshah Khan win “Ring of Pakistan” title fight

“Ring of Pakistan” mega professional international wrestling event concluded successfully with Pakistan’s Baadshah Khan claiming the title fight at the Alhamra Cultural Complex, Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Pakistan hosted yet another mega professional international wrestling event which featured wrestlers from all over the world. The event was named as “Ring of Pakistan” (ROP) and its CEO, Syed Asim Ali Shah, said that “These visiting international wrestlers are the ambassadors of their countries and they had a very wonderful visit of Pakistan, where they not only enjoyed the great hospitality, respect and love of local people but also brought with them great memories of this sports-loving country.”

As many as 20 professional wrestlers from China, UK, USA, Canada, France, Italy and various other countries took part in this event. The former WWE superstars Chris Masters was one of the main attractions of ‘Ring of Pakistan’. Whereas other participating wrestlers included:

There was only one Pakistani professional wrestler featured in this event namely: Baadshah Khan who also claimed the title fight. The event was hosted by famous Hollywood actor and TV host Jhony Locasto.

Pakistan’s Badshah Khan won the ‘Ring of Pakistan’ title fight as he topple over American professional wrestler Chris Masters. While an English wrestler Tiny Iron knocked down his 5- KG heavier opponent during the fight to win the title in his respective category.

Also, Algerian professional wrestler Yacine Osmani fought fiercely and remained at the ring till the end to win the title. Whereas, the French woman wrestler Mila Smidt lost her fight against her opponent.

Syed Asim Ali also thanked government, all the organizations especially ISPR, who extended their all-out support to make this event a success.

He also said,“Without government support, we couldn’t hold this event, so I am grateful to all, who helped us in conducting this event in such a professional and trend-setting way. I am also thankful to my team, who worked day and night to make the event a success. If we continue to get such amount of support from all the concerned organizations and government, soon we will make ‘Ring of Pakistan’ a brand, which will help in bringing huge professional wrestlers in Pakistan.”

This event has helped in evaluating the negative image created of Pakistan in the other parts of the world. Ring of Pakistan is the only company promoting and developing wrestling in Pakistan and it became the very first company in the history of Pakistan that organized International Wrestling Competition in 2017 as well as this year in Pakistan.

Brand consultant to Ring of Pakistan, Umer Toor believes in connecting youth in activities designed creatively to promote sports. "It is important to engage upcoming generation in sports and it is no more an easy task. As trends have changed in lifestyle around us in last two decades, so is the case with sports. We must address to the agenda align with the modern trends among youngsters" he added.
