Shinwari Storee lifts Peshawar Football League Season II trophy

Shinwari Storee and Malik Saad Kings were the teams who made it to the final stage of the league in which Shinwari Storee team earned a hard-fought win over the opponent team on a 2-0 score-line.  

The losing team’s defense was in disarray and they fell further behind after their goalless side in the half time as Shinwari Storee’s Adnan stunningly slammed the very first goal of the match at 53rd minute. And from then on Malik Saad King boys did not even have a shot on target as they were unable to grab a single goal for their side.

Another effortful goal from Asad just after 5 minutes of the first goal, gave the team a lift at putting the opponent team under pressure to which the loser team was not able to recover and headed home with a real bad loss of 2-0 in the final game.

Youth Gleam Welfare Organization organized the second edition of Peshawar Football League (PFL) under their eminent project “Bring Back Sports in KP”. This movement began with sports events from street and later culminated into sports initiatives that got recognition from high authorities. The organization has registered in 2010 as a non-governmental non-profitable youth oriented organization that strive to serve Pakistan by supporting and promoting youth oriented healthy activities in the country.

This 8-day league featured a total of 14 teams which includes: City Eagles, Qissa Khwani Darwesh, Hayatabad Turyali, Charsadda Baryali, Chitral Markhor, Khyber Azmari, Shinwari Storee, Ganta Ghar Zalmi, Sarhad Nangiali, DC Peshawar Sarkar, Swabi Jaguars, Prime Pukhtoons, Food Safety Strikers and Warsak Kings, from all around Khyber Pakhtunkhwa district in which boys from their respective teams and clubs were seen battling it out with their skills for the ultimate title and prize gain of the league.

Peshawar Football League generated the required interests for the game by officials and players who ought to realize the importance of increase in the participation among target groups, increased frequency of participation, the development of sporting skills and expertise .
