Malik Saad Kings to face Shinwari Store in the final of Peshawar Football League Season II

The final of the tournament will be played between Malik Saad Kings and Shinwari Store football teams today at Tehmash Khan Football Stadium in Peshawar.

 
The first semi-final match of this mega tournament was played between Malik Saad Kings and Prime Pukhtoon teams in which Prime Pukhtoon boys failed to make the most of winning team’s Sohail solitary goal, who made the ball fell into their net and in to score which resulted in Malik Saad Kings team booking the place in the final match of the tournament. Prime Pukhtoon team lost the match on a close call 1-0.  

Although the victory came by the narrowest of margins, it was a fully deserved success for Malik Saad Kings team, who managed to create several decent chances to add to their scoring and finally got successful when Sohail delivered the ball at the back of the opponent’s net in the 58th minute against the stubborn Prime Pukhtoon boys’ defence.

Whereas in the second semi-final, the leaders Shinwari Store, through demonstrating their best of game play and skills, booked berth in the final stage of the tournament as they earned a hard fought victory over Charsadda Baryali team on 1-0 score-line.

There were also a couple of efforts on target made by the losing team’s players who delivered a bright performance from the starting as they attempted to increase their intensity in game time to time but Shinwari Store’s Asad finally conceded a goal in the 35th minute which had them threaten to lose the game but even then throughout the match, players were not able to score the win or neither draw the match as the goal from the winning team got them into pressure and with their strong defence and blocking they did not give them time to remove that tension and forced them to lose the game.

The final of the tournament will be played today at Tehmash Khan Football Stadium in Peshawar.

Youth Gleam Welfare Organization has organized Peshawar Football League Season 2 under their eminent project “Bring Back Sports in KP”. This movement began with sports events from street and later culminated into sports initiatives that got recognition from high authorities. The organization has been registered in 2010 as a non-governmental non-profitable youth oriented organization that strive to serve Pakistan by supporting and promoting youth oriented healthy activities in the country.

This 8-day league is featuring a total of 14 teams from all around Khyber Pakhtunkhwa district in which boys from their respective teams and clubs are seen battling each other for the ultimate title and prize gain in the league.
