WAPDA and Army continue their winning streak in 14th National Women Volleyball Championship

Army, WAPDA, Punjab and HEC beat their respective opponents on 3-0 straight sets in National Women Volleyball Championship 2018 which is being played at Pakistan Sports Board Coaching Centre in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

 

Army and WAPDA teams marked a straight 3-0 set win against Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa respectively on the second day of the championship.

WAPDA team’s two strong smashers Madiha and Zeenat along with setter Fozia on the right and Rabia on the left played a pivotal role in steering team towards victory in the first match for the day.

Wapda two blockerts Shabeena and Shadia also played well and blocked the smashes at the net which benefitted the to get the first set by 25-18.

It was the second set in which Sindh got the lead of 0-4 points and also 2-7 but WAPDA came back strongly by leveling the set at 4-4 and then at 7-7 and raced up to victory on 25-16 set score.

WAPDA then overpowered the third set as well by winning it on 25-21. WAPDA team overall dominated the proceedings and won the game quite comfortably.

While in the second match of the day, Army team did not give any relief to KP team and did not let them to strike back trashing them by 25-13, 25-16 and 25-17 straight sets. Azra and Mudadas with setter Neelam played well as they slammed quite forceful spiking.

In the third and fourth match of the day, Punjab and HEC teams were also able to mark their stunning wins by thrashing the opponents; Baluchistan and AJK teams by 3-0 straight sets though several successful shots, respectively.
