Beach Wrestling World Championship 2018 all set to begin from 6th October

4 Pakistani wrestlers are to take part in the 2018 Beach Wrestling World Championship which is scheduled to be held from 6th to 7th October in Dalyan, Turkey.

The Turkish Wrestling Federation (TWF) held the 2017 Beach Wrestling World Championships last October in Dalyan as well and now the 2018 Beach Wrestling World Championship is headed back to Turkey welcoming wrestlers from around the world for the two-day event.

Pakistan Wrestling Federation (PWF) have finalized upon a four member squad who will be participating in the competitions of the championship along with three officials.

The 4 memeber squad consists of the following individuals:

Muhammad Inam Butt will be defending his title in the Championship as he won gold medal in 2017 Beach Wrestling World Championships which was Pakistan’s first gold medal in this sport. Inayat Ullah was also the wrestler from Pakistan to won yet another gold medal in the same event but for 2018 Beach Wrestling World Championships he was not able to make place for himself in the squad emerging from the country for the event. 

Talking about the preparation for the event, Muhammad Inam Butt said that he is getting prepared for the event all by himself as the government never provided any kind of help in his coaching despite requesting several times for international training. He also said that he is thankful of Secretary PWF, Arshad Sattar for despite facing issues with the country’s government he still is managing to send the team in world event. He said with certain confidence that he will win the gold medal this time as well.
