Elite Club beat Karwan Club in penalty shootout

Elite club registered their first win in the Islamabad Football Association Jashan-e-Azadi Tournament played at the T&T ground, Islamabad.

 

Elite and Karwan clubs played out a thrilling 0-0 draw in the second match of the IFA Jashan-e-Azadi Tournament 2018. Players from both teams tried their best to score against the other side but the scoreline remained goalless at the end of scheduled time.

Penalty shootout therefore determined the outcome of the match. The final part of the match was a superb showing by Elite Club which took the lead on goals by securing 4 goals on 5 penalty kicks where Haseeb, Danish, Fahad and Kamran each scored one goal for their club’s first victory in the tournament. Karwan club managed to convert only 2 of their 5 penalty attempts.
The match was played under the supervision of Referee Chaman Khan who gave a yellow card warning to Hamza from Karwan club, Elite club’s Talha was also booked for foul play.

General Secretary Islamabad Olympics Association Muhammad Ramzan Kasuri was the chief guest while Vice President IFA Muhammad Zaman, Secretary Sharafat Bukhari, Secretary Ghauri Club Masood Raja, Secretary Haidry Club Shafqat Raza were also present on the occasion.
Bolan club will face Al Qaim Club today in the third match of the tournament at T&T ground, Islamabad at 05:00 PM.
